"In my early professional years, I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?"

Carl R. Rogers

About my Practise

I work with clients long term, in an open ended manner, offering them a safe, warm space to bring all parts of their humanity, and use tools from a variety of therapeutic modalities, to encourage them to think more about their lives, their relationship to themselves and others, and contextualise their struggles in the lives they’ve lived.

I believe that given the right environment and support, each individual is well equipped to create their best life for themselves, and alot of my work with clients is rooted in the therapeutic relationship my clients and I build together.

My work integratively, primarily fully from pyshcodynamic, intergenerational, humanistic and relational modalities of therapy. My work with each client is a unique mix of modalities, reflective of what the client is needing from the therapeutic space.

What to expect?

Our work starts with an initial appointment. The purpose of the initial appointment is to see if we feel like we are a good fit with each other. In our first session together we discuss what brings you to therapy, what you’re wanting support with and address any queries you might have about the therapeutic process. If we feel like a good fit, and decide to continue working together, then we proceed to schedule sessions as per the decided frequency.  Sessions are 50 minutes long, and are held online, over zoom.

Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy is a long term process of self exploration and understanding, rooted in the therapeutic relationship, that the client and therapist undertake together. The therapeutic container holds a safe space for you to understand your emotions and distresses, in light of your life experiences with the help of a trained therapist. The role of the therapist is to facilitate your growth and process through the therapeutic relationship that allows for interpersonal patterns to emerge, be understood and for personal growth to occur. Together, we see what brings you to therapy, and how we can best use our space to cater to your growth.

I usually see clients on a weekly basis, but am open to different frequencies depending on what you need support with, and what your preferences are. We can decide and adjust the frequency of our work together in session.

While I’m happy for clients to give me a brief overview of what they’re looking for support with via email when they reach out to start working together, I encourage you keep the limitations of email platforms (in confidentiality and response) in mind while exchanging information on there. Once we start our work together, email is primarily used to schedule appointments, and all mental health support in contained within the confines of the therapeutic container.

The modality with which I work is long term in nature, which means I work with clients for months, sometimes years at a time. As a result, slots only open once a client ends, and that can take a long time to happen.

I have a few slots that I keep sliding scale, but given the nature of my work being long term, those open up scarcely. If you’re interested in a sliding scale slot, please drop me an email and I can add you to the wait list. I do want to let you know that the wait time might be long. It can sometimes take over a year for a sliding scale slot to open up.

For therapy services, you are eligible for a refund if you cancel our appointment more than 24 hours in advance. If you’ve booked a workshop, course or group space, then there are no refunds.
