Terms and Conditions
For Therapy Sessions
Fees and Payment
Fees may be subject to revision bi-annually. You will be informed with a prior notice of minimum one month if there are any revisions to the fee structure.
Contracting
Our Initial Appointment will be used to discuss what brings the you to counselling and what your hopes from counselling are. We will use the space to get to know each other and decide if we both feel like we are a good fit. At the end of the Initial Appointment session we will decide about working together. We may have occasional review sessions throughout our work, if you require. These will be to discuss how the work is going for you, and the progress we have made. The initial appointment and all other sessions will need to paid for. Each session will be 50 minutes long.
Time Off
Taking frequent time off ensures that I can show up for my clients at the best of my ability. I will let you know of any planned breaks at least two weeks in advance. Additionally, I may take anywhere between 2-4 weeks off during the summer break, and 1-2 weeks off during the Winter break. You will be informed of any breaks as soon as they are scheduled, and with plenty of prior notice. We will remain open to working around what the break may mean for you and what you might need during my unavailability.
Termination of Therapy
If you decide to finish therapy at the end of a pre-decided period, then the review session will usually be our final session. We can agree an additional ending period if this feels appropriate to the work.
If you decide to finish therapy at any other time, then I request four sessions notice.
If your therapist decides to end the therapy, then they will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible.
Ethics
In my practice, I adhere closely to the ethical frameworks laid out by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA).
